    Default THEME: Landscapes

This was just a blah landscape that someone posted on another forum for play. My steps included:

    • Various photo filters to add color. This can be done selectively. To add orange to just certain parts, like the leaves or sky, open the filter, set color and density, close. Then invert the mask (Ctrl+I) to turn it black. Then paint with white on the mask where you want to reveal that color.
    • Painting on blank layers in either soft light or overlay. Here again, this is a nice way to add color, lighten, darken, etc., to select parts of the image.
    • I also partially overlaid an image of a different sky to add some cloud texture, and tinted that orange.

Not sure why, but I can't edit my posts in the OOTB forum (but can on others). I don't know how to make a thumbnail appear. Can anyone give me some guidance on that? Thanks.

    Here's the original:

David in Photoshop go to Image/Image Size. Then put in your pixel dimensions. 800 is the widest parameter in other forums. Landscapes I think 1024 can be the largest dimension. Set it to Bicubic Sharper for your reduction. After you have your resized pic, then go to File/Save for Web and Devices. Your file size should be under 200kb to be able to upload. Then when you want to post go New Thread/Advanced/ click on the paperclip/ locate your file/Upload it, add your text. Preview your post, make any changes you need to, then click submit. That should be it. Hope this helps.
Well you certainly do know how to make a silk purse, well done:)

Jackie, Is that how forum contributors post? I didn't know that-never did it. Thanks

David, the problem is you had two images and the software only allows one, so it didn't know what to shoose. I moved the original to a reply and voila, it's on :)

BTW, thanks so much for all your help!!! I know time is a precious commodity and you do this for a living. The more to appreciate your tutorials and guidance!!!!

Thanks, Fabs. I noticed that they showed up automatically in other postings. I suspected it might be the two images that were confusing the system. Much obliged.
