I like the warm feel of this image, the overall warm tone of the entire image. The cattails around the bird don't bother me. The first issue to me is the bird a bit too much to one side. If I were to correct that "problem", I think I could crop some off the right. Near the top right hand corner there is a pretty bright spot there, too. I personally would try to deal with that as well. But have to say, overall, that bright spot is not a major issue to me.

Hi Natalie - like the light - sweet. You have a good Ha and nice eye contact, and sharp details throughout - good show :)
Only things I would have wished for .. that the thick end of the perch didn't intrude so much on the birds tail and maybe that the perch actual finished inside the frame rather than being cut off, tends to lead my eye straight up and out.

Natalie - Love the colors, the sharpness and the overall composition. Well done. Female Red-winged Blackbirds are wonderful and greatly under-appreciated in my view.

I love this image. Those cattails are gorgeous, providing your bird (what is it?) a perfect BG. I would probably do something with the light blue patches in the top and RC. Thanks for sharing.

THanks Natalie, please forgive my lack of NA bird knowledge. I, at times, have trouble with Aussie ones. :D
