Captured this image at Crown Hill Park in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. My only wish is that I had a little more light on the head. Thanks for looking

    Dan:

Classic red winged blackbird pose. Excellent exposure with excellent detail in the epaulets. So often the red channel is blown there and all detail lost. Yes, a bit different light angle with it more over your left shoulder would have been nice. Simple, complimentary background.

I might crop about 1/3 of the way up the thin stalk of the cattail, but that is just a personal thing.

Thanks for sharing this fine fellow with us.

Nice pose. Agree with your wish for a little more light on the head. Tough to get shadow detail and hold the reds. I like the look of the epaultet in this one. Looks like flames.

Excellent exposure on the blacks, and love the open beak. I would maybe move him down a bit, and create more of a vertical crop. Just a thought Dan.
