Thank you all for the help, guidance, and positive input in my short stay at BPN. I can hopefully grow with all you great and knowledgable photographers, as I am learning all the time. My 1000th came up pretty quick. Thank you again.

We have fun with these Egyptian geese, as they are unruly and noisy. They also give excellent opportunities to capture them in all sorts of postures.

LOve the head angle and eye contact, the feather detail and the composition!

This one is a very good image to celebrate your 1000th post Stuart :-)
I like the action, pose of the bird and the intense eye contact and opened bill. The bird is a bit tight in the frame and a little bit of bonus room at the left would be great. Very good job and congratulations

Great post here Stu! Not very fond of square crops, but this is one exception. Great pose and detail!
Was this taken at LC or Austin Roberts?

    Stuart:

Congratulations on 1000! It came up fast.

Very nice bird, I like the composition, but agree with Juan about tightness.I would suggest adding canvas to left and little to the top and right as well. The bird works the diagonal very well. If not tried already, might do a bit of shadow recovery to pull up a little more detail on the upper wing and shaded breast area.

Thanks for sharing, and contributing to BPN!

Congratulations on the milestone, your contributions are much appreciated! Great incoming pose, details and wing position. I would only give it a bit more room.

Congratulations, Stuart, and thanks for all you contribute to BPN, you are quite a prolific member, always ready to give critique, very much appreciated.

We have a bunch of these bullies locally and they are a riot, always yelling and chasing each other around.
You have a great pose here, nice to have him calling. The water could use a bit of darkening in curves, to my taste.

    Hi Stuart

Congrats on the big 1K! :)

What a great image to post for it too. Love that diagonal comp, great wingspread and the goose oozes attitude. Light is pretty fine too. Thanks for sharing. :)

Stu that did not take long.
I like the comp and exposure here. I would like to have a bit more space on the left?
