Hi, this hungry Rosella was also taken at Lamington National Park, Queensland, Oz. They will take the food right off your plate!!

Hi Jay I like the pose and behavior, separation of food from beak is nice.

Main thing you need is even light, in this case fill light would have been the key ... and having a 40D you had a built in flash !!!!

Thanks Al, I have to remember about the flash more often. With the 1D3 I will have to remember even harder :-). Cheers,

Nits mentioned. Nice little album piccie really. :) My only concern is that it is eating a totally unnatural morsel, not very good for its health especially when I think of how many people would go through that spot and feed them whatever takes their fancy. Not sure of how the operators handle the feeding, but I cannot think of feeding human foods to native wildlife, especially that would eat seeds a good practice. :)

Not picking on you Jay, just speaking from a wildlife carer/rehabilitator perspective. :)

I don't feel picked, Mate. Are you familiar with O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat in the Lamington National Park about 100km SE of Brisbane? A magical place. The birds are very people acclimated and they simply fly onto the tables and take the food off of the plates. There isn't much you can do about it.

I do agree with you; however, what you see is what you get.

    Cheers, Jay
