This delicate lady was painted with a Nikon D200, using a Nikkor 105mm f/2.8 IF-ED macro lens with a Nikkor 12mm extension tube.

    Image Solution:
    focal length @ 105mm / exposure mode @ aperture priority / in camera matrix metering / 1/125sec. - f/8 / exposure comp @ +1.0EV / ISO @ 320 / white balance @ cloudy / AF - Mode @ manual / color space @ sRGB / lighting solution – no speedlight, ambient light / tone comp @ +1 degree / hue adjustment @ +2 degrees / saturation factor @ +2 degrees / support platform – monopod assist.

Awesome image, Gus. I can't wait till the butterflies are out around here! Love the BG - it's so complimentary to the subjects. Was this late afternoon light? It's beautiful! I'm not positive on the ID but it looks like a common wood nymph skipper.
