This guy just dived right in front of me. Unfortunately all the shots of him going into the water and coming out were all out of focus, and even this one wasn't all that great but the best one out of the bunch. This was shot at Allen's Pond Wildlife Sanctuary in Westport, MA.

Great pose and catch, good sharpness too, but is it underexposed. You need to be at least one stop over in the blue sky about 30 degrees up the horizon. Composition is good too.
I agree with Fabs comments. I took the liberty of tweaking the image just a bit.
I adjusted it with levels/curves, brought up the shadows some, lightened the fish a bit.
Very quick job, but it gives you an idea. Would look better with work done on original raw file. There is a bit of sharpening halo in the original which is more visible in my repost.
Sorry for the late response. I see what you mean Fabs, I'm still getting used to adjusting camera settings "on the fly", you know, one minute your subjects right in front of you, then suddenly he/she decides to move a little to the left and now the sun is not behind you anymore LOL. Hey Randy, like the re post, I'm still waiting to get PS and am only working with DPP. Thank You both.
