    Default Crested Caracara

Captured this fellow the other day along Canoe Creek road between 3 Lakes Wildlife Management Are, and Joe Overstreet.

    Canon 1DsMII, 600mm f/4, f/4, ISO 200, 1/400, + 1/3 EV, using Blubb out car window.

You found a nice-looking bird, Bob. I like the pose and the soft lighting to help control the contrast in this scene. The combination of splotchy grass and background are a bit busy, but nothing overwhelming. It's been a while since I've seen one of these guys, and you've got me excited to go try again.

Pretty cool looking bird you got there Bob, and wonderfully photographed. In a perfect world the higher grass blade in front of the leg wouldn't have been there. I love the habitat depicted here, but I could do with a toning down of the taller brighter OOF twigs in front of the face. Perfect exposure and sharpness, and I like the alert posture of the subject. Very nice!!

Very nice pose and detail, Bob. I'd burn the bottom grass a little bit. Great head angle and EXP too.
