This is a female peregrine which is nesting along the Hudson River. Taken around noon on a clear sunny day.

Very nice image. I like the roughed-up feathers and the clean background.

I love the passive strength of this posture! Beautiful light and background, I would prefer slightly more room at the top and bottom

This would have been perfect as a vertical, and with more room top and bottom. I like the spread feathers. Excellent BG, exposure and sharpness also look great. I would clean up the feather (?) on the perch near the talons. I slight head turn more towards us would have separated the bill-tip from the far cheek patch, but still not bad. Overall quite nice :-)

    Beautiful raptor!
This is just a suggestion of what can be made to this wonderful image. Great details and light.

Hey Herb, impressive image, and I love the "skirt" showing in the plumage. Great detail and EXP and neat BG. Thanks for sharing it!

Thanks for the suggestion, Dan. I purposely cropped landscape style because last peregrine perched I posted, you suggested to not clip the vert. branch, so I included the horiz. perch to the end in a horiz. crop.

Thanks Juan, it certainly looks better in this crop.
