This was taken as the sun was setting and the golden light was almost gone. Would love to have had both egrets in full light but the shadows had begun and this was natural light no fill flash.

    Nikon D300,Nikon 300mm F2.8, ISO 400, 1/3200, F4.5 hand held.

All comments are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Personally, I think this is better. However, I must say straight up that I am less of a fan of the straight over the shoulder light than most here. I can't see anything less than perfect here.

A truly beautiful image. The light is so beautiful here, much better than if the birds had been in full sun. Love everything about it!

It's difficult for me to imagine how the quality of the lighting could have been more desireable-not to mention the lovely composition. It's beautiful!

Lovely warm, soft light here Judy that works so well for the white plumage of these egrets. Getting the 2 birds in sharp focus was a real bonus - Just perfect!!!

Just excellent Judy. Their feather are so soft they look as if they've been air-brushed. I love the light and the composition.

As I read your post I couldn't believe you were complaining about the light. Stunning.

Just beautiful, Judy Lynn. The shadows lend a warmth and depth. Pretty indeed.

Great capture Judy! You get some really nice light in Florida. I like the symmetry of the photo. The shadows work for me too.
