Taken this evening. Big crop, so no good image quality. To focuse birds in flight handheld with my slow nikkor 80-400 VR is quite challenging. Today I could take some of these...

    Cámara: Nikon D300
    Exposición: 0,001 sec (1/1600)
    Aperture: f/9.0
    Lente: 400 mm
    Velocidad ISO: 200
    Tendencia de exposición: -2/3 EV
    Flash: No Flash

Doing well with the lens Jose !! Pre focusing is the key !!! Totally workable !!

Love the wing position and light coming through the feathers. Might lighten the head just a tad and desaturate the sky some. btw compensation wise we are normally even or on the plus side for these type ..how was the histogram? Big Congrats on this one !!!

Hi Jose - agree with Al's Crtique - love that pose - would run some NR on the background.

    Keep them coming :)

    Thanks for your coments!
Al, I was shoting an egret (that's the reason of the compensation), and this kestrel came suddenly, so I hadn´t time to change the setup! I have to learn about that prefocusing technique you mention.....
