    Default IR tree

East of Mono Lake is a veritable treasure of opportunities that most pass up because of the beautiful tufa formations in the lake. This is just a tree. the bark was strongly colored and I liked it, so I used the IR camera, used the gold tone IR below the desaturated B&W image and erased the B&W from over the tree. This was not done for final printing, but just as a quick exercise to see how it came out. IR-20D- 24-105@58mm comments appreciated.

Steve, I like the color of the pine needles, and I think you did a good job showing the viewer your thought here.I might crop it a tiny bit at the top if it were mine.

I like the effect Steve but the crop looks odd? Would go for more/less room Probably slightly tighter !!! Never been there but must be one neat area !!!

And I agree with both of them! I'd take enough off the top to get rid of that heavy branch to the right. I'd also crop some off the left and would have liked to have seen the entire end of the needles/branches on the right.

LOVE the gold tree. That is really wonderful especially with the plain infrared BG.
