    Lion roaring in the setting sun, we could not move as we had two more lions under the vehicle.

    Taken in Passarge Valley, Central Kalahari Game Reserve, Botswana, 7th March 2009.

    Hi Peter,
    Thanks for your comments you are right a little more head turn would have improved things a lot. I have just opened the posted JPEG directly from my hard drive and have no red highlights this seems to continually happen I have no idea why, any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I am using Art's method from Digital Basics to convert to JPEG.

    Ken,
    It would be great to see it and feel this moment. I agree with Peter. Reposting a version with slight modifications in colour temp, saturation and levels and a contrast boost. Thanks for sharing.

    Wonderful light, like the way in which the lion is positioned against the shaded background.

    Very nice action and very effective. There is a magenta cast to the mouth.

    I agree about the 'Odd" colour this seems to its lower palette, I have no idea what colour it is supposed to be. Any ideas ?
