My wife Linda Dulak captured this image of a Pacific green sea turtle frolicking in the surf off Fernandina, during a recent visit to the Galapagos Islands.

To my eyes this is perfect, great sharpness exposure and remarkably true colour. The ripples at the right bottom almost look like a sea monster!

Good shot. I would possibly remove a little from the top. It really isn't saying much to me and it would raise the turtle out of the center zone a little. The bottom, however, has all the wave action and bubbles, so I would hold that as is. I would recommend the top open area be about 1/2 the bottom open area.

Thanks for the comments guys. As for the cropping, I'm not sure I agree. The eye right now is at the top one third line and by cropping it would move it above that. In addition, this is almost full frame as it's shown, just a bit off the left for a normal height/width ratio.

Nice shot. I like the head coming out of the water and the eye contact.
