    One of the winter residents in the Puget Sound area - these are tough to get close to unless you hide behind a boat at the local marina. Still experimenting with the D300, but so far I'm very impressed

    I like the calm water and reflection. The head turn is nice, too. It would have been great to photograph the grebe before it passed you. A bit S/H could bring out more details in the shadows and tone down the whites a bit. The water needs some NR, it's quite noisy.

    Have always loved grebes and this is a pretty image with a great reflection . I agree with Axel about using S/H and some NR. Thanks for sharing George.
