I capture this Lanner Falcon in the last light of the day in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. I waited at least 30 minutes for it to fly, because I knew the image would be worth it:) Comments welcome as always

Well worth the wait! Awesome light at the height of take-off action. I even like the shadow (just perfectly missed the eye) as it emphasizes the feeling of late light! Love the under and over wing details as well; so what's new! OK, the obvious nit; more room to fly into. I love it as is!!!!

Superb details under the wing and nice head angle. More room on left for me too. :) Thanks for posting.

Another vote for more left, but you know that :)

That head turn and eye contact, beside your trade mark beautiful light, make this one for me.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions guys :) I'm not entirely convinced about more room on the left, I like the juxta-positioning of the branch and bird the way it is?

I love this as is Chris! Superb light and good noise control at ISO 1250!
