    Here I captured a male cardinal landing. On TV I used 1/3200 to freeze action

    Camera Model: Canon EOS-1D Mark III
    Shutter speed: 1/3200 sec
    Aperture: 6.3
    Exposure mode: Tv
    Flash: Off
    Metering mode: Multi-segment
    ISO: 800
    Focal length: 500mm

    Robert, That is one sweet capture! Maybe a bitof crop on the right since he is landing in might make this image stronger. WOW!! Bob

    Excellent photo all around. Great technicals, and I really like the look of concentration on the birds face. I have lots of these fellows in my backyard, and this inspires me to try my hand at it.

    Your ss has certainly frozen his landing posture. Great exposure on the reds, and overall nice and sharp. A better perch would have been great, but still very well captured.

    Certainly beautiful!
    Lovely bird and great eye contact. My only suggestion would be running some noise reduction on BG.

    Terrific pose and BG. Red is not too hot because you can see the detail in the feathers. Check is in the mail :)
