Photographed on Easter morning near the BMX park. This is either Gracie or George as they were named by the residents. They have been nesting in same tree for over 15 years. There is at least one chick that I have seen. This was mid day. I need to go back either early AM or near dusk. I used my Sony A100, with a Sigma 50-500 lense. The data=f/25, 1/125, 0 ev, Iso 400, 500mm. Thanks for looking, John

Hi John - few problems here - mixed light (Always going to be difficult) and a fair amount of your bird obscured by tree branches. As they have a nest there they are going to be coming and going - perphaps a good oportunity for some flight shots.

Head angle and eye contact is good :)

Looking forward to seeing more :)

Hi John Familiar with that nest and its a tough one to photograph !!! I think your best bet will be setting up for flight as the birds come and go. Just need the right wind !!!

    Hi John,
A fine looking bird indeed, with the proper head angle, and sharp details, agree with Mr. Peters on the mixed lighting...just be patient and keep on him, sooner or later you will get your clear capture...
