Captured it today. It was passing close by me, close enough to fill the frame. I was rapt. Perhaps I should add canvas on top and give it more space, while crop some from below? What do you think?

Lovely light and eye contact. I like the crop as presented. Some hot highlights. May be worth selecting and darkening the BG a little.

Agree with Tony's comments and love the eye contact in this image. Would like to have seen more light on the underside of the wings but that is not always possible. Cool looking species and a first for me Akos. Many thanks for sharing.

Great sighting Akos, and I like the light in this too. Super detail, and great eye contact. Comp fine as is, although to be nit picking, I would maybe take a tad off the RHS.

I agree 100% with your own critique, and I would include that the image could be improved by having more details on the dark areas.
Overall a great looking fellow and great image.:)

For web you could loose some off the bottom and let;. For printing, you can spare more negative space. Maybe a reverse curve will help with the hot pixels and dark underwings. Or select UW and run a lifting of the curves to get more out of the shadows and multiplying the highlight on the body.

I ran Shadow/HIghlight on it, fixing both, shadows and highlights. A round of sharpening and some cropping.Of course, this;s be better done on the large original. Hope you like it!

Thank you Fabs. Much better. I was having a little play with the S/H tool this afternoon. Looks great. :)
