Image made just before sunset today. I have been babysitting this Killdeer for about two weeks, she is laying on two eggs. I was running out of light and tried to stop down to get the little flower in focus.

I like the soft light on the bird and the look back pose showing the back of the bird. Lots of feather detail and crisp. Particularly like the room in frame for the bird Sweet image !!!

The included flower makes this unconventional comp work. I like this alot, I would only eliminate the blade of grass touching the bill. Hope you get the chance to photograph the cute little puff-balls that will soon hatch!!

Good focus and DOF control to keep the flower sharp. I might be tempted to crop away some of the OOF foreground grass.
