    Default Another Malachite

This is another shot of the little guy from the weekend.

This one has quite a nice clean BG. I have this shot with a closer portrait crop too, but i like the comp on this one better. A bit of space for him to look into.

    Comments and suggestions always welcome

    Hi Andre,
I like the colors on your little guy, but it's a bit over sharpened, this would work well as a vertical crop if you decide to go that way...as presented, you have too much negative space to the left side of the frame...would recommend on cropping 1/4 from the left and adding just a tad on the right side...

I pretty much agree with Gus 100%, just a bit too much sharpening and too much space on the left. Love the color on this bird!

    Hi Andre

For the sharpening try going over by a lot so you can see a difference then back down until is normal. Seems to be the easiest way !! Just like when making adjustments, make huge changes to see what is going one then fine tune !!

Thanks very much Gus, Kurt and Alfred.

I will play around with the comp a bit, Gus looking at what you said it should get the bird closer to a third. I think i am probably on the right side of the vertical third. I will also take down the sharpening a little.

Gorgeous Bird - repost is much better - love the colours.
Still think I would go vertical - dead space is still a little much I think.

    Kepp them coming :)

I like Andre Now it looks sharp but not electric !!!

btw crop wise I can go either way and a vertical wouldn't look bad at all. The long beak pointing at the left helps out with current crop, either way really nice !!!

    Thanks.

I have a pic similar to this with a vertical portrait crop, i just prefer horizontal/ landscape type comp.

Thanks again for all the advice, much apreciated.
