Thanks all! Al - we rented a car when we flew to Kayseri, so we didn't use the taxi services. That's one of the reasons we were flexible enough to wait for good lighting and for low crowds. We arrived the first day in the afternoon and stayed late and arrived early the next morning before Ephesus opened. This is indeed a country travel photographers need to add to their list!
