I had several wood duck pairs crashing through the trees above me last weekend. I was able to capture this drake who happened to land in the open with decen light. I like the uniqueness of the background. Although they spend a decent amount of time in trees, I don't usually see a lot of photos of them there. I look forward to hearing feedback.

Excellent shot Bryan, great to get one in a tree with a clear view, nice head turn, lighting, the tail's maybe just a touch close to the bottom of the frame, but that's very minor, congrats.
I like the sharpness and the head turn but there are a few too many branches for me.

Hi Brian, Sorry that I almost missed this. I would not try cloning out the branches as there are just too, too many, so not worth it to me. And yes, it is what it is but what is does not usually make a pleasing image....
