I posted this a while ago on travel, but it fits here, too. Located in north Georgia, this old store has been here since the 1870s. It is now a tourist attraction and gift store that has great memories of our living there in the 1970s.
Hazel, I do remember seeing this image and you're right it fits this category well! It would be helpful to all if you posted your camera specs with the post as well as the alterations you've done to the image. This place has a real old country charm to it and it looks like you captured that well. I do see alot of red in the image and I brought it into CS4 and desaturated the red channel a bit.I thought it looked better. Thanks for sharing this beauty and look through your files and see if any of your other images fit this category-You can post 1 every 24 hours until Sunday then the theme changes!
Thanks for the touchup Denise. I had worked and worked on the coloring and saw some of that red, too, but had run out of ideas. Duh....the red channel. So simple. I mostly used tritone coloring, some cloning to get rid of a couple of "modern" things like the words on the newspaper box on the porch. A little selective sharpening.
I'm posting the original color version for comparison.

Hazel I like your sepia toned image. Agree with the CW rotation, might just dull down the sign a bit. Also the sign doesn't have the same tonal range as the rest of the image (seems quite blue to me), but maybe that is what you were trying for.
