I shot this image a few years ago and almost threw it away. It was a bad exposure, but then I looked at it in the graphic sense and it was my Christmas card for that year. I did some touch up in Photoshop Elements 2 and went from discard to the card.

I especially like the large drop exploding from the lake.

I don't have all the details of the shot, or the process. It was shot with my Canon EOS-1 film camera and the print was scanned on a flatbed. Taking images that are graphic and giving them new life is one of my joys of photography. Combining that with nature is another win.

    Hope you enjoy.

My signature image is another Photoshop Elements 2 graphic image, of a toss away. It is not a mirror creation. that is how I shot it. However I just tweeked it until it became viewable.

I have both Ver 2 and 4 and have looked at 7. But personally I do most of my work in Ver 2 as 4 and 7 have too many bells to ring and some of the simple tasks of Ver 2 outdo both of them in my view. Only problem I've found with using Ver 2 is it does not recognize my 2 T external harddrive for saving images, so I have to save to "C" and transfer to the HD. Then I move into Ver 2 and do the work needed and return to "C".

I tried it at 1024x800 but it blew the lines out. It was created for a 3"x5" Christmas card so it is big as shown. I didn't do an 8"x10" version yet. Graphics are a sideline for me, but enjoyable when I don't want to throw away an image and find a second life for it. This is one of the best for that alternative.
