    my recent posts have been mediocre at best, so i tried to take everything i have learned here and roll it into this one. please give me the critique from hades!! with my current skill set, this is about as good as i can do. where do i go from here?

    D300, Bigma at 370mm, f/7.1, 1/1250s, 0EV, ISO 400, flash fill no beamer at -1.7EV

    Doctor Davis,
    You did quite well...I like the composition and capture, I like the placement of the subject in frame with the tilted low head pose. The background is very plaeasing...now I might burn in the lighter portion of the perch and open up the blacks in the under portion of the bird's tails to bring out more details...the head angle and eye contact with the catch light are very good...one fine image indeed...good show...:cool:

    Harold, Beautiful capture! I love the BG colors,I know you were probably very mindful of the BG when shooting this!! Nice pose and love that natural perch!! Nice HA and foot display.

    Mr H - I Like it - nice pose - BG that compliments the bird - Only thing I might do is lighten the eye just a little.
