This was taken at Flamingo Bay last weekend. The ospreys were busy fishing and we captured this one as he was heading back to the nest.

Looks great in high key. If anything I wish the head/bill were more separated from the body, as it looks a little lost in the image. The wing pose is pretty cool and well done capturing with its meal! :)

    Judy:

Looks like he had quite a snack before heading home! One for the road perhaps.

Sharp, well exposed, good wing and tail position, nice composition with room to look/fly into.

My only small comment would be that I wish the beak/head didn't merge with the wing, it makes it hard to see as much detail as I would like, particularly in the beak. No doubt, the fish adds a lot.

    Thanks for sharing.

Akos and I were typing at the same time! Sorry to repeat, but it seems like a general opinion re: merge of beak and wing.

    Hi Judy,

This is a great catch. I like the wings and pose. The fish is a nice plus.

I'm glad you got someone with fish :) and with cloudy weather at that!

Love the wing position and open fish. Merger has been covered.

Neat shot Judy Lynn, nice job with the exposure, the half eaten flounder? is a bonus.
