Not a great image (cropped) but liked the position and white background. 1DmkIII, Canon 500mm, manual expos.,ISO 1600, 1/1000, F 6.3. Handheld from a kayak, early cloudy morning. Had set the exposure for the egret and the white cloudy background was off scale. Used high ISO as the kayak was not a stable platform..

Who cares if this one is croped? I think that is a good high key image, very well executed and well procesed. From an artistic point of view I love the result that you got and I do not mind if this image can not be printed at billboard size ;-)

Very good job and keep them coming! :-)

I like the high key in this one. Composition works for me, too. I would have been great to see a bit of the far wing.

Very beautiful and it would also work in a horizontal format. Since the sky is white, it should be easy to pplay with it :)

Thanks to all for the comments. Will also give the horizontal format a try.
