You the man Steve! You just gotta be happy with that one.

I was imaging them the other morning in the 'dark' of heavy overcast sky and with back light without results like this at all. Now you got me wanting to get back out there under better conditions.

    Exquisite!

Neat pose and very good composition Steve. The light is a bit strong to my taste and produces strong contrast (fortunately, there is not overexposure in the whites) but I like the result a lot. Very good eye contact, BTW :-)

Steve very nice bird here in the middle of his strut. It must have been exciting to watch him display. Imight be tempted to blurr the OOF blades of grass behind him a bit more.

Very cool pose, details and complementing setting/BG. I might tone down the highlights some more using curves and/or S/H.

Nice pose and environment. The image does seem like the sun was starting to lose the golden early feel to it.

Thanks for the reply and suggestions. I guess I got in a hurry last night. I see now I did a terrible with the
PP. The contrast and white balance were my fault. I double checked the raw file and it obviously had it right, I didn't. I also toned down the highlight a touch, thanks Axel. Let me know what you think now.

    Thanks
    Steve

    Re: Your repost.

I like what you did in the repost to the upper vest/breast feathered area however I do like the original post overall and would like to have seen it with a little of the treatment your did to the "uppper vest" area of the repost but not to the rest of the image.

The repost IMO has to much yellow.
