    Thought I would try a high-key technique on this kestrel image. Have not tried this before. I also thought the branches made a interesting design. Thanks for looking

    Dan, I think you are right -the branches add alot of interest. I love the high-key BG and it really shows off your Kestrel well. At first I thought the larger branch on the L of frame that is exiting the scene should be cloned but the more I look at it I find that I like it! Well done.

    Hi Dan

    Like the idea a lot !!! Not sure how you got to the high key with the + 1/3 comp ... normally we are setting over two stops. Perch looks really nice and only wish for the bird's tail to have more detail !!! Big Congrats on this one !!!

    is this out of the box? solid avian image!! i like the feel the high key gives it. sort of oriental with the colors of the kestrel and i like the way the limbs frame it all.
