    Default Hewn by Hand

Did some shooting recently inside our barn. Wasn't easy to shoot since the light is very low in there, but got a number of good shots. This was taken in the stairway leading up to the loft. A shaft of light was shining in through a crack illuminating the axe marks on this beam. Any C&C are welcome!

Christopher, Good thinking using the light shining through the crack to illuminate the board. I wish for more sharpness. I also see some light area in URC that I might crop out if it were mine. I look forward to the rest of the series!!

Thanks Denise. Here's a repost with the light area in the URC cloned out and some more sharpening. I'll be sure to post the other shots as I get a chance!

Christopher, I just opened it up a bit with levels after taking a second look at it I felt it was a bit dark, the histogram was all the way to the left , but your removal of the URC looks good.

Denise, It does look better lightened a bit. Thanks!

Really interesting pattern here Chris but the comp isn't quite doing it for me. I'd go back with a little more light so you can get some good, sharp detail and really drive in close to get an abstract that fills the frame.

Thanks for your opinion, Julie. I'll try exploring this some more.
