I know this is SOC - You have cut the poor fellows wings off - was this a delibrate desecion on your part??? as part of the compoistion??

This could well be one of the images that Artie posted of late where you don't have a FF bird. I would crop as per repost and tidy up the brown chick and the bird in the LC.

Love the image Deborah !!!! In your face and showing the environment ... unusual crop but works well for me !! Just wish it was sharper but worked re post doesn't look bad at all !!!!

The image is unsharpened so as to meet to the criteria requested ie straight out of camera. I have others without the wings being clipped but thought this gave a better impression of the size of this bird. Shall try to post others shortly once I've had a chance to do some processing.

Appreciate the comments and critiques, will try to apply them as I select others to post.

Thanks Akos - your crop is infinitely better. I posted the unaltered original because of the SOC rules but you show how nicely relatively simple adjustments can improve an image!
