    Canon 40D
    500 +1.4 EX.
    iso 160
    1/400 sec. at f/6.3 and one was 1/320 sec. at f/6.3
    Tripod

    I took an image of the female owl digging the burrow as the male looked on-he turned his head around,I guess to not get sand in his eyes-This happened very quickly I only got 3 images w/ the sand flying and I was on rapid fire! So I merged 2 images together so his head was facing me. I thought it would be neat as a behavior image.

    Love it, very interesting habitat image. These shots always teach me something special about the subject.
    Great eyes and feather detail, what was you distance. Nice DOF, noticed you stepped down a tad, well done.

    It is way cool Denise !!! Love the image ... not sure why the low ISO but it worked fine in this instance with the flying dirt !! Big Congrats !!!

    No problems at all from me. In fact I always prefer these natural history type images compared to the perfect, clinical BG one. :D Congrats on a great merge and subject(s). Love it Denise. :)
