    There is not much option to comp this guy with his long tail.

    Excellent image of a bird that normally does not sit still very long . There was a wonderful posting last year of this bird in flight.
    A little more sharpening and perhaps a little more saturation would probably improve this image.

    Wonderful subject Stuart! Nice BG and comp, but agree with the others... probably more of a saturation problem, but does need minor sharpening IMO... careful, starting to halo allready. Nice capture!

    I think the composition is perfect. Well, I wouldn't have done it any other way, at least. This is a beautiful bird, and you did a good job photographing it.

    Ditto sharpening. Also needs more contrast. Really nice one stu well done

    Thanks for all the input. Here is my repost. Ive added a slight saturation, and darkened the BG. There is really not much I can do with regards to sharpening, as this guy is really small, and this already a fair crop.

    Beautiful bird, great BG and the sharpness in the repost makes it even better. I would only try to remove the artifacts in the BG.
