rThis photo was talken in Lake Nagura.Kenya and I liked the birds action in eating the beatle,a frame of which is shown here. The bird which was seen from out landrover went out to catch a beatle but he could not get it down until it was thrown back up in the air and recaught which this pic shows. 1/2000sec,f/4.5,iso400,500mm,handheld

Good timing, great details and colors ! Ideally, I perfer to see all the tail, too. But most likely, you take what you're offered. By the way, some halo is showing around the bird.

I've never seen this bird before and so I thank you for sharing this photo !

Great timing, and you have exposed the colours nicely. There is evidence of a halo, and unfortunately, not the best perch.

Perfect timing on your part. I'd leave room for the virtual tail if you have it and the halo is on the top part of the bird. If you visit the Educational Resources Forum, there are tips on how to sharpen without halos.

    Outstanding action capture !

The combination of a great moment and such a colorful bird makes for a very pleasing and engaging image.

Excellent timing. Love the colors. I have to agree about a little more room.
