    Default Calla #1

My wife wanted Calla Lilies so I agreed to buy them PROVIDED I could photograph them. :D

I worked a whole series of images ranging from pairs to single blooms to close-ups to macros. Most were shot at f/16 to f/22. But I did make a few images opening up the aperture. This is one of them. I'm wondering what you all think?

I would like this photo, printed in large format, hanging on my wall!!! It is somehow, from a fairy tale...

I like it! Love the colors. It's a beautiful abstract.

Yup, count me in. One little suggestion that I think might make it even stronger from a compositional standpoint would be to move the yellow area a little higher or lower...it feels a bit centered and I think moving it up would help pull the eye all the way through the image even more.

That said, I'd be darn happy to call this one mine. Dang, Ed.

Ed, this may be my favorite image of yours, soft pastel hues, dreamy focus and elegant composition. Way to go, I wouldn't change a thing :)
