    Western Snowy Plover (bird) south of Villa Creek, Estero Bluffs, just north of Cayucos, CA, Feb. 14, 2007 - photo by Mike Baird, http://bairdphotos.com. Shot w/ a Canon 5D w/ 600 mm f/4.0 IS lens w. 2.0X TE and a 25mm extension tube, on a solid tripod. This photo was used as the cover shot for the http://ccnha.org Nov.-Dec. 2007 "Nature Notes" membership magazine.

    Many Thanks - birdphotographers.net looks like an amazing new resource and I am a BIG Arthur Morris fan.

    Hi Mike best if you can link to the site for easier viewing

    Bird looks sharp with a good head angle Would wish for better light angle and the rock on the left is attracting my eye !!!

    Thanks Al. Assuming there was no way to re-position myself to remove the rock from view, would you consider it excessive manipulation to clone the rock and its shadow out of the image? (I would.) Now you can click the image here to get to the original too.
