Is 200-400 VR and TC 1.4 AF tune possible ?

I was just told it was not possible to do an AF tune on a D-300, 200-400VR and TCs. Is this true ? Something to do with the fact that it is a zoom. Thanks in advance, Robert

Hi - hmmmm - I have this combo and I have checked its AF - I think what you are refering to is --- as it is a zoom the focus can vary over the length of the zoom. I checked mine at 200/300/400 - all were slightly different, not much.
