I am still working on making photos with good reflections. I was able to catch this grebe yesterday morning when the wind was dead calm. I had a little trouble getting the exposure correct with the white rump. The contrast might be questionable as well. I cloned out some floating vegetation on the water. I am looking forward to hearing constructive criticism and suggestions. Thanks.

I feel you have captured the reflection nicely Bryan. Lovely light on the head, but lacking a bit of detail on the body. If I may give you a hint in this, - this needs a slight CCW rotation. In a reflection, the tip of the beaks should form a verical line, and you will see this is a tad out.

I made some adjustments as suggested. Does this look better?

Great eye contact and reflection, the repost is a big improvement. I would remove the sheen on the plumage and crop a tiny bit off the bottom. Keep them coming.

Great looking reflection Bryan. You succeed there. Details are a bit muted due to the wet coat - I have that problem with them too. Repost looks better however. Some cloning on the side will get rid of the shine. I do that on wet bills a lot.

Very nice Bryan, and the corrected rotation is a good improvement. Nice comp too...perfect for a reflection, and I love the slowly sloping away wake in front. I agree taming the shine on the plumage would be good.
