Saw mom fly in twice with thes two beggars tugging away at her beak to no avail. Certainly they are very close to leaving the nest soon. The cypress has gone from late fall to losing foilage for winter to now sprouting new spring leaves while these two have matured. it's awesome to witness the entire cycle!

This is some neat action you captured. I like it. What I wish for is a little more eye contact from the chick, though I know it was busy checking out mom and dad. However, a little more contrast and sharpening is needed IMHO. :) Well done!

Wonderful light and great postures! I agree with a bit more sharpening and mid-tone contrast.

    David:

I like the composition of the two erect birds and the crouching one in between. Yes, eye contact could be better, but the red open mouth of the lower chick helps add interest. I have tried a number of times to get all of their heads with good angles, esp. while begging/feeding, and it isn't easy! Vertical was a good choice here.

The foreground on the right is a bit cluttered, but overall for a nesting situation, pretty good! Could you have moved to your left a few feet?

I agree with Chris and Akos about the sharpening. It appears that the torsos are a bit sharper than the heads.

    Thanks for sharing!

The vertical orientation is a winner here. Just a little more pop, as mentioned, will make it better. Nice light and action.

I have hopefully added more contrast. The sharpness is a compression issue as "busy" files like nesting images wont convert to high or maximum quality with the 200K limit.
