Wonderfully sharp image Alexander. Even though the lighting is softly filtered, it seems to work here. The bird is quite tight in the frame but I think this is in keeping with an intimate portrait like this. I made a similar image of a male this winter. You have given me a push to post it, which I'll do shortly.
