What a colorful beauty! I like the painterly BG, but would tone down the brighter spots as they draw my eye.

The bird is beautiful indeed. I like how the composition is achieved, but I am not sure why it is that you like the "noisy" version rather than a smooth looking field of green. Agreed with David about those bright spots. If anything, I would crop tighter as reposted and the areas where I circled in red I would touch up a little to eliminate the distracting lightness, small branches intruding and the leaf obscuring that branch on the left edge (hope you don't mind my suggestions).
