    Way to go Denise. I find this to be very appealing due to the nice vertical composition, the upturned head and the nice catchlight. Perhaps a slight head turn toward you would give the viewer a bit more contact with the bird. I also see a loss of detail in the breast, maybe a bit more sharpening would bring it out. Love the bg and the way the bird is holding his wings.

    It is better, Denise! The eye still seems a little soft, but the BG is to die for and the headturn is good!

    Better on just about every count. Proportionate perch and a better head angle. It looks better with additional sharpening.

    The last one looks better althought I would suggest a little bit more USM, and maybe a little crop from the left. Congratulaitons, nice pose, light and BG.

    I love this image Denise. I also like the fact you go back and readjust a few tweaks as per suggestions. I love your final repost, but I also like Ramon's repost with the lightened eye, though I am not keen on the close left edge. Well done and congrats! :)
