    Great detail in the eyes!
    I would have placed the head in the upper right, looking into the frame. This would show more of the in focus perch. The dead dark space in the upper right distracts from the subject to much for me.
    Also straight flash looks too harsh on most subjects, I normally turn the flash way down or better yet add a diffuser, even a sheet of folded paper works.

    Very nice details on the eyes and head, I agree with Roberts suggestions.
