Default Black-throated Sparrow on Pencil Cholla

Taken in Joshua Tree NP last week, it's still a bit early for birds and a bit cool/breezy for this time of year. The next few weeks should be better. These sparrows are reliable subjects when all else fails :)

Great setting, singing pose and BG. I might sharpen the head selectively a bit more.

Really nice singing pose, and I like the desert colors of the BG. Another vote for a little selective sharpening. I would trim a bit off the left side to get the bird slightly less centered.

The sparrow stands out nicely against a super OOF BG. Comp and sharpness covered by the others.

The BG colors really coordinate with this bird nicely! I agree on a round of sharpening.

Nice image, ditto on the sharpening - to my eye, the white balance may be a bit cool, but he stands out beautifully against the background. Congrats!

Lovely pose and BG here. Agree on sharpening the head more, and would also shift the bird to the left if you have some space on the right to use. Composition as presented here seems too centered.
