    Default Laughing Gull

Fort De Soto .... the wings got clipped, but at convenient points in the image...

not sure if I should have gone with more DOF here.... thoughts?

DOF is a matter of taste. How were you to know it was going to come towards you? The head is sharp and the rest just fades away. I like it. I may take some off the left to make it stronger. As it is, the left side f the image is weak.

Good suggestions from Fab. Really like the close-up view of this gull and the falling water droplets. Good low angle to Michael !!!

Trim about a third on the left?

I would trim to just in front of your middle initial (or general vicinity)in your signature. Of course that would give you a squarish crop though...but it may work. I also don't mind the shallow DOF...the eyes and bill are sharp enough. Nice exposure, and good timing with the shutter! I do wish for a bit more room below.
