Black-naped Terns are again nesting off the shores of Singapore. The terns are now in courtship mode and there are a lot of squabbling over prime nesting spots. Here are two of them slugging it out in the air.

Jay, I think this is beautiful. Love the background. The whites look a bit hot in some places on my monitor but I think it's very successful anyway. Is this full frame? If you framed this in camera, you should be very proud indeed!
I think that the poses allow you to have thre birds in the center, as they are looking up and down the room to the sides looks goo IMO, light is wonderfull, poses as I said too, detail, exposure and colors are stunnnig and I love the fact that they have plenty of room to fly arround, maybe not the best for internet use, but for a large print it sure should look superb! Congratulaitons!
Wonderful and very beautiful action captured in this image and I agree that the center placement works well in this capture. Great timing and congratulations Jay.
I would also keep the centered comp...but cropped tighter (although Ramone has a good point about large prints). Excellent poses on both birds, and awesome sky!
Brilliant interaction captured here Jay. I like the opposite fighting postures, nicely framed against a cloudy sky. Very well timed here too. Congrats.
The timing is absolutely perfect! I'd be happy with this! I know others like all the space around the birds as I do, just maybe not quite as much space IMHO.
I love this very pretty image! The interaction is over the top, and the background adds to the mood! I also like how the light falls on both birds, with the subject clearly the main focus. The wing positions and the tail positions gracefully echo each other, even though the respective head and neck are completely different. Way to go!
