    Default Snail Kite

I got a nice look at this female Snail Kite from Jim Neiger's boat in January. They are a challenge to track across a varied BG, but the results can be pretty nice! :D

Very cool! I like the composition, pose and setting. Maybe a bit more sharpening? I think there is a slight magenta cast.

Nice BIF! I would consider cloning out the bushes below the birds facial area.

Excellent flying posture Doug, and stunning light in the eye. You have done exceptionally well hand holding that 500. Very well captured.

Great capture, they are easy birds to get. Light is a little harsh creating too much contrast on the BG.
    well done!

Light was a bit harsh, but as the bird is flying lower than you the light looks good ebought to me, the pose is great and the BG stunning! Lovely comp and great DOF. Congratualitons!

THe pose is great and actually I like how it fits in between the foliage Doug. Lovely species. I like the BG as it looks so washed as if the kite was really flying. Congrats.

I'm with you on this one Akos. I thought the bird fit nicely in the foliage, so I left it in the image.
