    Default Northern Pintail

Northern Pintail at the Duck Pond in Guangzhou Zoo, Guangzhou, China:

EOS 20D, 135/2 (don't have the heavy stuff with me :-) @ f/4, ISO 400, no exposure compensation. Slight canvas extension to the right, but pretty stock otherwise. Comments welcome.

    Hi
This is a different view for sure. Personally, I would like more lower an angle and no butts cut off. ;) Thanks for sharing and keep it up!

The angle is so steep that I can go for it !! Would like to see the entire duck .. tail and all !!! I like it Andy and the exposure is right one .. btw some fill flash would be helpful !! ... great portrait lens !!!

Thanks for the comments from both of you. I agree completely with the tail part. Unfortunately the picture was taken in a zoo. The duck was constantly moving and I couldn't stay much longer--my daughter was getting cranky and my wife was getting really upset :(

However, I do have another example of high angle and tail cut off that I believe works very well. Will get around to process it in the next few days. Stay tuned... :D

    Hi Andy,
I like the fine details and colors on your duck. the capture angle is way too steep and no tail... looking forward to your next one...

Hi Andy - I think I could go for this at this angle IF the whole duck was in the frame, exposure does look good. Keep them coming :)
