    Shot last week in Sunnyvale, I liked the perch and background. This littel fellow and his mates seemed to be wary of a Harrier and Hawk that worked the bayfront.

    Canon 50D - 400mm f5.6 lens
    Shooting Mode Manual Exposure
    Tv( Shutter Speed ) 1/1600
    Av( Aperture Value ) 6.3
    Metering Mode Evaluative Metering
    ISO Speed 400

    Crop and USM.

    garry, everything looks perfect except for the head angle. i think you an get away with a distance look from a bigger bird in certain situations, but here i would rather get better eye contact. well done with the exposure and clean bg!!

    Hi Garry,
    I like the capture, you have good color rendition on the bird and fine details in the feathers, I would crop 1/4 from the top to eliminate some of the negative space, thus placing more attention on this little guy. The base image is a tad under exposed...agree with Doctor Davis on the head angle...looking forward to your next one...:cool:

    Nice sharp image, very pretty little guy, nice BG as well. Agree on the head angle and crop suggestions

    Hi Gary

    Since you gave us the info on the intruder I have to say the head angle is good .. little guy was looking out for the bad guy !!! .. and the room up top sort of goes with his look, room to look into. Just a different way to look at the image ... in any way a fine image !!!
